The Place That Waited — Panorama Ma'an

An immersive experience design pitch for the Founder's Palace in Ma'an — commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, Jordan. A five-movement spatial narrative built around the arrival of Prince Abdullah on the Hejaz Railway in 1920.

Scale

Most immersive experiences begin when you walk through the door. This one begins the moment you enter Ma'an. The city itself is the first scene. The road to the palace is not a path — it is a prologue.

Five Movements

The experience is structured as a single continuous emotional journey: The Land Before, The Waiting, The Arrival, The Palace, The Beginning. Panoramic projection, spatial sound, and environmental design converge at the arrival moment — the train pulls in, the city receives its future. The visitor should not feel like a tourist watching history. They should feel like a witness living it.
